snickerdoodles.

the day draws near when midterm season will unleash its fury. are you ready? before you know it, midterm season is over and term paper season rushes in like a bride late for her wedding. my advice to my fellow victims of these phenomena: easy does it - one day at a time, and you will conquer! muah haha.


on another note...i had quite an eventful weekend - friday jas, iris and i went to brenda's house to bake snickerdoodles. and they are fabulous. the lady who submitted the recipe says they are "very popular with my friends at church! my pastor loves them!" these pastor-approved cookies are winners. after baking, we went to qpid's guyanese fundraiser dinner. it was sooo delicious - guyanese food is very similar to trinidadian food, so i was in heaven. it all reminded me of home..! mmmm..oh geez, i gotta wipe that drool off the keyboard. ;) that scrumptious dinner was followed by dance, where we learned a LOT. i don't think i remember much (if any) of it now...dang. saturday- went to chris' for dinner with some folks. he made a great lasagne. sunday - church, breakfast with jasmine at windmills, navs, then praise and power. not a bad day at all!

oh - but the best news of all is that i will be getting a key to the front of our condo building when i go home. my very own key! thing is, they issue two keys to each family that moves into the building, so my bro who lives there now has one, and my parents (currently living in barbados) also have one. problem was that since they had a key, and my bro was probably going to be at work most of the day, i would be housebound for the better part of reading week. but now - no longer! victory is mine! hahaha :) i will be in possession of my own key once i get back. and a note to those nearby - if you want to come visit or hang out at any time, please give me a call!! i have a feeling it might just be me and the condo for a lot of the days!

okay - now i have to get back to preparing for my 45% "test" that is on thursday.
